Dr. Nancy Ridder joined the practice in 1995, after working in another local clinic for the previous 15 years. She graduated top of her class, in 1984, from the Ontario Veterinary College. She initially practiced mixed animal medicine but soon specialized in companion animals. Her interests lie in the internal medicine fields, such as cardiology, ophthalmology, etc. She enjoys the challenge of cytology. Nancy has always had an interest in complementary and alternative medicines. She has some knowledge in the field of homeopathy and herbal medicine. She has recently become certified as a veterinary acupuncturist, allowing her to practice traditional Chinese medicine as well as conventional medicine. She shares her life with her husband, Ralph, who farms, 4 children, 2 cats, 1 dog and other assorted pets that pass through. Because of the busy family life, she has decided to only work 2 days a week. With any time leftover, after practicing veterinary medicine, taking care of the family and home, commitments at church and the children’s school, she enjoys gardening, reading (especially science fiction and veterinary journals), and quilting. |
